Albion, Captain Webster, arrived from Sydney, via Auckland and East Coast ports, at 9 a.m. yesterday. She reports leaving Sydney at 8 p.m. on the 13th, reaching Auckland at 4 p.m. on the 19th ; left at 3 a.m. next day, and arrived at Gisborne at 6 next morning; sailed again at 10 p.m., and reached Napier at 8 a.m. on Momlay; moved on at 11 Am., and arrived as above. The Albion sailed again for South and Melbourne at 3.15 p.m. \ The s.s. Napier arrived from Picton at 7 a.m. yesterday, and left again In the evening for the same port. i . i ; The Union Company’s steamers due to-day are the Penguin from Nelson and Piston, and Wanaka from the South. She was towed over to Somes’lsland bythos.s. Moa, and. after ballasting, will leave for Greymouth. . The steamer Hula will arrive from Wanganui at about noon to-day. She Is advertised to sail on.her return trip, via Picton. on Thursday, at 6 p.m. The barquentine May was tewed to sea last night by the s.s. Tui. She goes to Wauganul to load timber for Sydney. " The p.s, Charles Edward arrived from Picton at I o’clock last evening. She leaves for Nelson and West Coast ports on Thursday at 6 p.m. The 9.8, Ladybird returned from Westport at 7 p.m. yesterday, after a passage of twenty-nine hours. , She experienced strong southerly and S.W. winds to Cape Farewell, thence to arrival E. and N.E., and flue weather. Mr Wills, recently chief officer of the steamer Ladybird, joined the Kangaroo at Westport on Monday, and on reaching Dunedin is to be transferred to the barque Celestia as master, vice Captain Bascand, who, it will be remembered, has received the appointment of Harbormaster at Timaro. The ship Crusader was berthed In No. 4 at the Queen’s Wharf yesterday afternoon. The steamer Kiwi left at midnight for Castle Point and Napier. The departure of the s.s.
