THE PREMIER AT AUCKLAND.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, February 16. The Premier has returned fiom North. He was interviewed by northern settlers as to the prosecution of work on some sections of the northern trunk line, from Helensville to Whangarei. He replied that nothing could be done by the Government till the new loan had teen raised ; but of the line under the provisions of the Railways Construction Act. A deputation of the Board of Education waited on him to-day ri providing playgrounds for the city schools and to discuss educational matters generally. The Premier replied that Auckland claims would be fully considered when the next vote was allocated.
