’ New Zeacand Times Office, ; Thursday morning. There was a large attendance yesterday at the sale held by Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co., when - the properties of the Miller estate were offered. Tho bidding for tho shares was brisk, there being con* siderable competition. Good prices were realised. Other produce, such as flour, &c„ oats and wheat, is not quotable, no business doing except in quite retail hand-to mouth lots, and quotations would therefore be misleading. WELLINGTON WOOL SALK 3 . Mr Lang reports that the usual fortnightly sale took place at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's storer, Custom House-quay, yesterday, when a catalogue of about 120 bales wool and thecustomary complement of skins, tallow, and hides was submitted to an average number of buyers. Competition was not altogether brisk, but a fair clearance was effected at the following prices Wool, —Crossbred in the grease, 8d to ojd per lb, the latter figure being paid for the Grassy-hill clip of 18 hales ; dingy and inferior, from 6jd to 7d per lb ; washed, lid per lb; lambs, 7d to 91 per lb ; the latter pri co was paid for an exception.lly well-grown parcel of e ght bales. Sheephkinb.—Coarse crossbred. Id per lb ; lambs, uptolOd each. „ Tallow. —Mutton, medium quality, up to L 27 los per ton ; mixed, up to L 27 par ton; inferior, L 24 to L 25 per ton.
