The many advantages this harbor has over other places where these steamboat companies have been such a success, is sufficient guarantee that a similar undertaking must pay well here. We have a large number of residents residing in the city and suburbs who will certainly patronise and support such a desirable undertaking, especially as it will bring within their reach the means of spending a thoroughly enjoyable day, and that, too, at very little expense. The fares both for ordinary traffic and pleasure excursions, will be exceedingly small, and such as will induce everyone to travel by the steamers. Petoni, where it is proposed to erect a substantial wharf, is now a rapidly rising township, and has already a large population. Land there is eminently adapted for building sites and manufactories. Lowry Bay is well-known too for its suitableness for pleasure excursions and picnics. The shares have beenifixed at such a small figure, that everyone has mi opportunity of taking an interest in this desirable undertaking.
