The New Zealand Times (PUBLISHED DAILY). TUESDAY, MAY 31, 1881.

We once more give reminder that the share list of the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company closes on the Slat inat., this day. We hope that to-morrow we shall have the pleasure of intimating thet the necessary number of shares have been subscribed for. The merits of the undertaking, the assurance of ultimate profit on the money invested, and the incalculable benefit to the eity and district which will result from the construction of the line, have all been so frequently and forcibly dilated on that repetition is needless. The line, indeed, is past for persuasion. To those who, lingering to the last day, have not yet invested, we earnestly commend a prompt decision to linger no longer. If they miss the opportunity none will regret it more than themselves.
