HISTORY.— When Victoria was a young Queen, and Prince Albert standing by her side,—she had on a light muslin dress and a large crinoline,* —she fired * the first shot at the drat Wimbledon meeting of Volunteers. She hit the bull's eye. Color-Sergeant James Huxley was one of her body guards, and so was James Byrnes, and Henry, the great rifle-maker, was in our squad.
