The steamer Albion left Melbourne on the 3rd, called at Hobarton, and arrived at the Bluff at 11 a. nr. on the 10th ; left again same evening, called at Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, and arrived here at 0.30 yesterday morning. 3ho returns to Melbourne via the South on Monday. The barque Wild Wave arrived in harbor at 10 o’clock yesterday morning from She loft there on the 19th of May, and had moderate variable winds until the 29tb, when she encountered a heavy gale with high seas, and the docks were constantly flooded, but fortunately no damage was done. The gale gave out on the Slat, and then had moderate winds until the 4th instant, when another heavy gale was experienced, which caused the vessel to labor heavily, and ship immense bodies of nmter ; then fair winds to making Cape ifoulwlnd, and rounded Capo Farewell at 3 a m. on the 4th, and arrived off the Heads at C p.m. on Thursday, when Pilot Holmes boarded her and brought her in as above. On the 10th the provisions were running short, and the brigantine Mary Bannatyno, from Oroymouth to Lyttelton, being in sight, a boat was lowered, and potatoes and flour were obtained from her. The barque brings a cargo of Government sleepers.
