ENGLAND AND RUSSIA

TO THE EDITOR’OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir,- —“ Neutral ” has‘touched Upon a subject which is expiting much interest in connectiou with events in the East—that of prophecy; but I should be glad if he would give the “Biblical cue” to the theory that England will take Constantinople and the Holy Land, and assume the protectorate of Egypt. I do not despise prophecy; late events°have proved its authenticity in the wasting of the iurkish Empire ; still, I fail to perceive what part England takes in the coming struggle, or under what name she is designated in Sci ipture. I should like “ Neutral ” to throw some light upou this interesting subject.—l am, &c., ° Rose.
