Plcton, and West Coast ports has been postponed till te-day at noon. , , ... , " , The Cora, from Hokitika, arrived in port yesterday at noon. The s.s. Napier left Blenheim at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon, and arrived here at 7 p.m. She will sail again for Blenheim this evening. The departure of the Claud Hamilton for Melbourne via the West Coast has been postponed till this morning at 6 o’clock. The s.s. Stormbird left the hard at Wanganui, where she shipped a few blades Into her propeller, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday last, and arrived here at 5.30 a.rn. yesterday. She will sail for Wanganui at 2 o’clock this afternoon. . ~ _ . The s.s. Arawata, with the Suez mail on board, is expected here to-morrow. The Government steamer Stella arrived in port from the North at 6 a.m. yesterday. Her mission this time has been to Kaipara, which bar has been surveyed, and the channel marked up to the pilot station, while beacons and landmarks have been decided upon to trace the navigable parts of the river. The Stella will go on the Slip to-day to bo cleaned and repainted. On her passage down from Kaipara she oalle 1 in at Onehunga and shipped the time-gun which is to be erected on Mount Victoria.
