Notice is hereby given that the TWELFTH GENERAL MEETING for the Payment of Subscriptions and the Sale of Shares, will be holden at the Office of the Society, Grey-street, Wellington, on FRIDAY, 6th NOVEMBER, 1874, at seven o’clock in the evening. In accordance with Rule XXIV, the Meeting will be called upon, to appoint Two Auditors, who shall be Members of the Society, to audit the accounts of the past year. Young SKELLIE, the Champion Longdistance Runner, will, for the first time in Wellington, run ten miles within the hour. Programme : Maiden Plate, 100 yards—First prize, 20s. ; second do., 10s. Grand Open Handicap, three distances, 100, 150, and 200 yards ; to be scored by points ; first in each to score 5 points, second 3, and third 2, the highest aggregate scorer to be declared the winner—First prize, £5 ; second do., £2. Handicap Walking Race, two miles—First prize, £2 ; second do., £l. Boys’ Race, 100 yards—First prize, 10s. ; second do., ss. Handicap Mile Race for the Championship of Wellington—First prize, £3 ; second do., £l. Consolation Handicap, 150 yards, for all beaten competitors—First prize, 305.; second do., 10s.
