Sir James Fergusson, Bart., K.C.M.G., &c., &c., to sell by public auction, on the premises, on or about the 20th day of November next, His Excellency’s carriages, horses, harness’ horse clothing, and saddlery. Also, The household furniture, china, glassware, kitchen utensils, and a quantity of wine; and in addition, a very superior and powerful harmonium, with twenty-two stops, made by “Alexandre,” well adapted for a •small church. Catalogues will be printed for delivery at the office of the auctioneer on the Ist November, and the days of sale fixed in a future advertisement. THURSDAY, 29th OCTOBER. IMPORTANT SALE OF FREEHOLD AT TIMARU, IN THE PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY. MR. JOHN KING has been favored with instructions from Captain Tosswill to sell by public auction at his sale rooms, Timaru, on Thursday, 29th October, 1874, his FREEHOLD ESTATE of CLAREMONT, which comprises about 2197 acres of the best agricultural and pastoral land in the district, and situated within eight miles of the town of Timaru, from which it is accessible by three direct and good roads. The improvements consist of a well-built eight-roomed dwelling-house, with all necessary offices, cottage, stable, woolshed and yards, cowshed and yards, and other necessary outbuildings. The land is fenced, and subdivided into -twelve paddocks. 450 acres under first wheat crop (which crop is not for sale) 130 acres sown down to English grass, of which twenty acres are also in oats 147 acres let for one crop 200 let for breaking up, and the remainder is in Native grass, which grows richly on the estate. There are also a few acres of bush land; there is permanent water in each paddock ; all the buildings and fences are new and of the best description. This valuable property is capable of being divided into two or more farms, with an equal division of natural advantages. Locke, Esq., Chairman of the Oraahu School Committee, to submit to public auction, at their mart, Tennyson Street, Napier, on Thursday, October 29, 1874, at 2 o’clock, p.m. The lease, for twenty-one years, of that valuable block of land, situated at Ohaoko, Patea, province of Wellington, and known as the Omahu School Reserve. A valid title is guaranteed. Further particulars can bo obtained, and plans can bo seen at the offices of the auctioneers, Routledge, Kennedy and Co., or from Mr. R, Miller, stock and station agent, Napier.
