Single event. SECOND DAY, FRIDAY, 11th DECEMBER. 1. Hurdle Race of 25 sovs. One mile ,and a half-; six jumps over hurdles 3ft. 9iu. high, darkened. Weights ; 3-years, 9st,; 4-years, lOst. ; 5-years, lOst. 71bs.; 6-years and aged, list.. Heats. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sovs. ; entrance, 1 sov. Catch weights. Post entrance. Single event. 3. Jockey Club Plate of 100 sovs. ; entrance, 5 sovs. Distance, two miles. Weights, same as in the Wairarapa Stakes. The winner of the Wairarapa Stakes to carry 71bs. penalty. 4. Hack Race of 7 sovs. ; entrance, 10s, Once round. Post entrance. 5. District Race of 30 sovs., added to a sweepstakes of 3 sovs.; entrance, 2 sovs., to go to the fund. For horses owned in the district for six months previous to entrance. Weight for age. Distance, one mile and a half. 6. Consolation Handicap of 20 sovs. for 1 all horses that have started and not won in the previous races. Horses to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. Horses to be named within a quarter of an hour after the District Race. One mile. Entemce, 1 sov. RULES. 1. These races will be run under the amended rules of the Wairarapa Jockey Club, under which horses take their age from the Ist of August. . 2. Three horses to start in the race (Consolation excepted), or the public money will not be given. 3. Mares and gelding; allowed Slbs. 4. Any person entering- a horse, must be a subscriber of not less than one sovereign to the Race Fund. 5. All races tq.be P.P. 6. In the event of any dispute arising put of any race the decision of the Stewards shall be binding upon the parties in such race. 7. No protest will be entertained unless the party entering the same lodge 2 sovs. with the protest; the money so lodged to be forfeited if protest pronounced by the Stewards to be frivolous. 8. First saddling bell will ring each day at 11.30 a.m., and first race start at noon.
