' This herd has been bred from cows pur- - chased from Messrs. Morton Brotherß and Leach, of Victoria, at their sale in 1867, the excellence of whose stock is too well known to need any comment. Mr. Bell's original selections comprised the • "April Flower " tribe, all of which were large prize-takers, and pronounced by the Australian press as being some of tho very best animals ever exhibited by those celebrated breeders. The sire used in this herd is " Prince Frederick," b re(i by the late William Robertson, Esq., of Colac, Victoria, out of the imported cow " Fanny," by the " Beau."
