WRITTEN TENDERS will, be received at this office up to NOON on Wednesday, 23rd September, 1871, for tlie CONSTRUCTION of the HOOK CONTRACT of the above railway. They must bo addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside, “ Tender for Hook Contract of the Timaru and Waitaki Railway.” Plana and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, at Wellington, Christchurch, and Timaru. Telegraphic tenders similarly addressed and marked will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at the office of a District or Resident Engineer by the above hour. TENDERS will be received at this Office until NOON on Thursday, the 15th day of October, 1874, from persons desirous of obtaining the sole right of Advertising at the various Stations of the following Railways now open and to be opened : Wellington and Masterton Railway ; Auckland and Mercer Railway ; Napier and Waipukurau Railway ; Nelson and Eoxhlll Railway ; Picton and Blenheim Railway ; and Brunner Railway. They must be addressed to the Hon. the -Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside, “ Tender for Advertising on Railways.” Specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices at Auckland, New Plymouth, Napier, Wanganui, Wellington, Picton, Nelson, Hokitika, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill.
