Phoebe sails for the South at 6 p.m. Port Chalmers, Saturday. Arrived : Ship Otago, eighty-three days from London, with 361 immigrants, all well ; barque Columbus, eighty-seven days from London, with ten passengers. The Corona brought .496 passengers. Bluff, Saturday. The brig Carl, owned by Nichol and Tucker, has been safely floated, and lies now alongside the wharf. The damage which she has sustained is slight. Wanganui, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday. The financial position is satisfactory. An extended programme has been adopted for noxt exhibition. The date is fixed for the last Thursday in October. It is expected to be unprecedentedly successful. Auckland, Saturday. William Gribble, a shipwright, employed at the winch on board the schooner Clematis, this morning was raising the centre-board, when the weight overpowered him, wrenching the handle from his hands, which struck him on the head. He was lifted up insensible, and there is no hope of his recovery.
