WELLINGTON COLLEGE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In tlie elaborate prospectus just issued by the Governors of the new Wellington College, a very important piece of information lias been altogether omitted, namely, how it is proposed to convey tho boys, especially the young ones, who live say at the extreme end of Thorndon, to and from the school; for without some arrangement is made I cannot see how the little fellows can go the journey there and back, and do the usual amount of play during the day, without feeling thoroughly done up at night, and quite unfit to work at their lessons for next morning ; and just fancy what it would be in a wet south-easter. I think this information should be given before the commencement of the quarter, and also whether the expense of such a conveyance is to be charged to parents. Ido not see how, with any justice, it can be made an extra charge. If the College has been put in an out-of-the-way place, the Governors should surely see that the parents of the pupils do not suffer thereby.— I am, &c., Citizen.
