McDOWELL & CO., as the purchasers of the estate of the above, both Bonded and Transit Goods, wish to inform the inhabitants of Wellington and the surrounding districts, that all the stock remaining in the above estate has been moved from Nelson to the premises, Lambton Quay, lately in the occupation of Mr. Prichard, draper, and will be offered for sale at SWEEPING SEDUCTIONS, FOE ONE MONTH,, Commencing on THURSDAY, AUGUST 6. In a sale of this class, where there is none of the fiction or fictitious reductions so commonly alluded to in advertising, but where the object is to realise on the balance of an Assigned Estate, it is impossible to go into detail of the various items to be offered, suffice it to say that the whole Stock has been reduced in price to the extent of from 17 J per cent, to one-third under the usual rates ruling in Wellington. Amongst the Goods to be offered attention is directed to the following :—- Flannels at 121,c1. per yard, worth Is. 6d. Celtic and Scotch Tweeds at 2s. 6Jd. and 3s. 6d., worth 3s: Cd. and ss. fid. A large stock of fashionable Dress Materials at one-third reduction on former prices Wet Wove Calicoes from 4s. fid. per dozen Wincey Skirts at from 6s. lid. ; Fancy Skirts from 3s. lid.
