GEORGE THOMAS h-s received a large consignment- of plaid cloaking, direct from the manufacturer in Girvan, via Glasgow, per Cartsburn, .to Otago, and to Wellington, consisting of six cases containing 3667£ yards, which he will sell by auction, on Thursday, at two o’clock, at his auction mart, Lamhton Quay. Sample patterns will be open for inspection after Monday, the 24th, at the auction room. Terms liberal, declared at sale. JT.B. It will be remembered the auctioneer sold a sample casfe of plaids similar to the above some nine months ago, which gave great satisfaction, and realised prices sufficient to induce the manufacturer to make the above further shipment.
