Tho Nelson Colonist is one of tho few papers in tho Colony which is not favorable to the State Forests Bill. Our contemporary concludes an article on tho subject by saying • Whatever tho fate of tho Bill may be, it is clear that the attempt to take three per cent of the area of the Colony from the Provinces will not bo allowed, Such a measure would destroy the Provincial land funds and Provincial institutions, and if such was intended it would have been better to do so openly by a battle of Pederals v. Provincials, or to have shown more skill in concealing the attack.
