Lamton Quay. Prospectuses. rpHE INDUSTRIAL PERMANENT, JL LAND, BUILDING, AND INVESTMENT SOCIETY. This Society is established solely to benefit the working man. No member can hold more than twelve shares, or be entitled to more than one vote. Should a member realise his shares for six years, his weekly payment 2'er share will be 4s. sd. ; but should sickness or some unforseen accident occur, thereby rendering him incapable of paying that amount, then by giving one week's notice to the Manager, he is transferred to the eight, ten, or twelve years' table, thereby reducing his weekly payment of 4s. sd. to 3s. Sd., or 3s. 3d., or 2s. lid, as the case may be, and by this arrangement the iniquitous system of heavy fines is entirely abolished. The fines of this Society will be found far below that of any other similar Society. The Society's office is opened daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., to receive applications for shares, and every information can be obtained from the Manager. The objects of the Society are to purchase live stock from the farmers and settlers of the Province of Wellington, to slaughter them, and to supply its members with joints at the lowest price possible; to sell to the retail butchers live animals and carcases, to preserve meat for exportation, if desirable ; and to break up the existing monopoly in supplying the inhabitants of the City with meat. . The services of an experienced stock buyer and practical meat preserver are proffered, and premises for the Society's operations are secured under offer. The co-operation of all classes is solicited. 1000 shares are already subscribed. A meeting of intending shareholders will be held at the Odd Fellows' Hall side room, on Monday, the 27th of July, instant, at 8 o'clock, p.m., to elect a Committee.
