PaintsR. GEORGE ROUND, COACH PAINTER, Of Willis Street, Has been appointed AGENT for the sale of HEMATITE and other IRON PAINTS manufactured by Johnston Brothers, Imperial Steam Works, Nelson. HEMATITE being a PEROXIDE of ■IRON, is naturally the best preserver of Iron, whereas paints composed of lead, zinc, or copper, by the galvanic action, eats into it, causing it to become honeycombed. This PAINT readily combines with the TANNIN, and enters freely into the pores of wood, more so than any other paint, rendering it INVALUABLE as a PRIMING COAT or foundation for all other paints. It is being extensively used for STEAMBOATS and IRON VESSELS, preventing rust and the growth of seaweeds. Eor Wheelwrights, Coaclunakers, &c., it makes a splendid finish ; also for agricultural implements and farm buildings, as it covers a much larger surface than its equivalent in lead, at a less cost. Orders (wholesale and retail) carefully packed and forwarded to any part of the Province. GEORGE POUND, Coach Painter, Willis Street, SOLE AGENT. June 23, 1874. LOUISSON’S NELSON HEMATITE PAINT.
