This PAINT readily combines with the TANNIN, and enters freely into the pores of wood, more so than any other paint, rendering it INVALUABLE as a PRIMING COAT or foundation for all other paints. It is being extensively used for STEAMBOATS and IRON VESSELS, preventing rust and the growth of seaweeds. For Wheelwrights, Coachmakers, &c., it makes a splendid finish ; also for agricultural implements and farm buildings, as it covers a much larger surface than its equivalent in lead, at a less cost.
