His Honor Mr Justice Johnston.) lie John Robinson. —Hr Izard moved under the 207th section of the Bankruptcy Act, that a . deed of arrangement between Robinson and his creditors might be declared to be completely executed. Order accordingly; provided that an allidavit of residence be tiled during the day. lie John Reade. —Mr Moorhouso moved, under the 12th section* of the Act, that the costs of the creditors who obtained the debtor’s summons and also the costs of the present application mig'ht be made a first charge on the estate. Order accordingly. lie Geoiwe Mundi.e.—Mr Hart appeared for the bankrupt, who gave evidence to the following elfect :—I am master of the steamer Paterson. I received the appointment about two months ago, and that prevented me attending the Court on a previous occasion. The book-debts mentioned in my schedule were incurred while I kept an hotel. I receive £25 a month, but my appointment is only temporary. I have a wife and four children, and pay £3 a month rent. My necessary personal expenses are about £5 a month.—ills Honor declared* bankrupt to have passed his final examination, and ordered his discharge. lie James Schuaueii.—Mr Hart appeared for bankrupt, who deposed—l was a clerk in the Post-office in Wellington, but now I have no occupation. I have been round to all the merchants here, hut cannot get employment. I left the Post-offico on account of my hank-
ruptcy. lam married, and have two children It is a rule hi the Civil Service that a man who files a petition must resign his position. My salary in the Post-office for the last two or three months was £2OO a year. I may be restored to the office, hut I am quite at the mercy of the Postmaster-General. Order made for bankrupt’s discharge. He William Johnson Mahoney.—Bankrupt, who was not represented by counsel, deposed :—The debts wore contracted in my own business—that of a printer. At the time the debt to B. L. Parjeon was contracted he was managing the Daily Tints office in Dunedin. I am now a compositor in the Government printing office, and get about £3 a week. I have a wife and eight children. I have not been threatened with any opposition. I filed my schedule in consequence of legal proceedings being taken against me in the Resident Magistrate’s Court for rent. —Order made for bankrupt’s discharge. The Court adjourned sine die.
