POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post-ofiice, AVellington, as follows: For Napier and Auckland, and America, AVest Indies, and Europe, via San Francisco, per s.s. City of Adelaide, on Thursday, at 3 p.m. For AVanganui. per s.s. Stormblrd, this day, at 5 p.m. For Nelson, Westport, Greymouth. Hokitika, and Australia, per s.s. Alhambra, on AVednesday, at 4 p.m. In future the AVairarapa mails will close dal T y at C a.m., and those for AVanganui overland every Monday and Thursday at 5 a.m., instead of on the previous evening, as hitherto.
