Maxawatu, —The extinction of the Native Title over the Awahou block is notified in the Gazette of 7th inst. This block is estimated to contain 25,000 acres. It commences on the coast at “Kflilwi”; thence westward to “ Orua Kaitau”; thence to Omaru Papaka and on to the Moutoa road, along the road to Pukehiniui, and on to Otdkura. and along the edge of the Otatara swamp, to Pakengahau, on the Manawatu river ; thence down the Manawatu to its mouth on the coast; thence along the coast to Kai Iwi. There are reserved to the Natives out of this block 2,170 acres.
