NOTICE.

THE PRICE OF ADVERTISING in the "New Zealand Spectator and Cook's Straits Guardian" is — Three-pence a line for the first insertion of all advertisements, and one penny a line for every subsequent insertion. Advertisements to be left with Mr. Lyon before 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon.

THE Nelson Examiner and New Zealand Chronicle (published at Nelson,) is regularly transmitted to Wellington; and may be had at the Office of this paper. The Nelson Examiner will be found an excellent medium for advertisers. Terms for the paper, ten shillings per quarter payable in advance. Orders for the paper and advertisements received at Mr. Ljon's store.

NOTICE TO PASSENGERS.

"THE Barque Caledonia, Captain Case, for London, having nearly completed her loading, will positively sail on Sunday, the 4th May, wind and weather permitting. Passengers are therefore requested to embark this day. James Smith & Co. Wellington, May 3, 1845.

THE undersigned is prepared to receive Orders for all descriptions of goods from England, which he pledges himself to execute with the utmost despatch — and to meet the times, such business will be done for a commission only. Whalers and others will find this an advantageous method of importing their supplies of hoop iron, &c. &c. P. M. Hervey. Lambton Quay, April 26, 1845.

Lyon, corner of Willis-street and Lambton Quay. .From the great strength and lasting qualities of the material, the above will be found superior to those usually imported from England.
