A PUBLIC MEETING' of the Settlers will be held on Monday Evening^ at half-past 7 precisely, to take into consideration a Report of the Aborigines Protection Society, respecting the Natives of New Zealand,, and the Foul Libel therein contained, affecting the character of the Government, the Missionaries, and the Colonists in general. October 26, 1844.

SALE OF A COUNTRY SECTION OF LAND, DIVIDED INTO ALLOTMENTS OF FIVE ACRES.
THIS SECTION is advantageously situated on the right bank of the River Wanganui, and numbered 122 on the Map of that district. The soil is very good, and a fine stream runs through the section. Circumstances having rendered a sale of this land almost compulsory, it is offered at a very low price, and the attention of the working classes is particularly requested to this investment.
