The cabled assurance that Loud Carrington, the President of the Board ofAgricultwrc in the new British Cabinet, hopes to get a bill passed before June to protect the producer and consumer of butter from the faker Avill be Aveicomed in NeAV Zealand. Apparently much pressure has been brought in .England on the necessity for stopping these frauds. The agricultural programme desired by British farmers, and published by the “Agricultural Annual,” places tins Adulteration of Butter Prevention Ball first in the order of importance. Next comes the bill relating to dogs, and of the tAVO measures it is remarked that “these two recommendations require no discussion. They are the arrears of promised legislation, and are judgment debts against the Government. It must honour these promptly or be declared agriculturally insolvent” Apparently the Government is going to “honour them.”'
