According to a Parliamentary return, presented on Saturday, for the twelve months ended June 30th, 1905, 4351 gallons of beer and stout, 46 gallons of wine, 2238 gallons of spirits (total, 6635 gallons of alcoholic liquor), was railed to stations in the Mataura electorate. Spirits—lllo cases, 13 casks, 3 oct., 249 jars, 33 parcels, 3 kegs. Wine —71 cases, 3 jars, 1 keg. Cider —12 kegs, 4 oct.,. 2 cases. There is a possibility of the Sydney Rowing Club being represented in the four-oar and pair-oar races at the next New Zealand p.h amnion shin resatta.
