AHAURA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr and Mrs Gibbins have started « dancing class here to be bold in James’® Hall, on Saturday evenings. will be supplied by Mis 9 J. Smith, and everything will be done to make the class attractive, and afford means of passing the evenings in a pleasurable way. The return match between the Blackball and Nelson Greek Gun Clubs took place at Blackball early last week, and resulted in a win for Nelson Creek, thus making the teams even, as Blackball won in the match which took place short time ago. The scores were Nelsoa Cretek 19, Blackball 17. Considerable interest was manifested in the match. Mr J. Petrie, candidate for the Grey Electorate delivered hie inaugural address at Blackball, to a crowded house. The address lasted for nearly two hoiirs. The audience were highly appreciative, and Mr Petrie being highly appreciative, greatly applauded throughout the address. A meeting has been called for the purpose of forming a committee to make arrangements for an axemen’s carnival, to be held in Ah aura on 9th November, with the usual energy displayed by the residents, its success is assured.
