To extend American trade it is proposed in America to charter a large liner in January, 1905, and commence a voyage round the world, lasting fifteen months, during which America products will be displayed by expert salesmen in every country of the globe. The Senate of the University of London has accepted an offer from the Colonial Secretary of -£7oo a year for five years to found a chair of protozoology, and decided to add <£2oo to it for laboratory and other expenses.
