OHINGAITI.

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at BCuia Villa, Ohingaiti, when Miss Beattie Coyle, youngest daughter of the late Mr John Coyle, was married to Mr S. Davison, stationmaster of this town. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr John Coyle, of Wellington, was beautifully dressed in creme crepe de chine, with the usual veil and orangeblossoms; Miss Elsie C'oyle, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and was dressed in white silk with hat to match, and wore a massive gold bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr J. J. O'Shea, of Wanganui, officiated as best man. The Rev. Father Le Croix performed the ceremony, which was very impressive. About forty guests assembled at Delaney’s Hall, where a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of, and toasts were duly honoured in bumpers of champagne. Quite a number of congratulatory telegrams were received from all parts of the colony during the function. The happy couple left by train for Wanganui en route to Rotorua, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Quite a number congregated at the station to bid farewell to the happy couple. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy bine costume trimmed with white silk and picturesque hat. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold bangle set in diamonds; Mrs Coyle, mother of the bride, gave a piano; Mis® Coyle, sister, a bedroom set; Mr J. Coyle, a cheque; Mr B. Coyle, a wardrobe; Mr James Coyle, curtain-poles; Mr P. Coyle, curtains; young men, Ohingaiti, handsome marble clock, suitably inscribed; young ladies, Ohingaiti, all kitchen utensils; Mr F. Ellis, dinner set; Mr J. Russell, cheque; Mr and Mrs Vennell. silver afternoon teaspoons; Mr and Mrs Stans ell, afternoon tea tray; Mr J, J. O’Shea (Wanganui), hanging lamp; Mr and Mrs Hakett, set carver®; Mr J. J. Trevena, salad bowl; Mr and Mrs A. Davison (Auckland), cruet; Mr and Mrs Davison (Thames), silver candle-sticks; Miss Mossman, oak salt cellars; Mr E. J. Moon, silver sugar basin and jug; Mr and Mr® Heise, travelling rug;, Mr and Mrs Hook, egg-toast rack, silver. Many more useful and valuable presents, too" numerous to mention, were also received.
