Queensland has just commenced the grading of dairy produce on the lines followed in New Zealand, the new regulations coming into force last month. The grading is, of course, compulsory. Besides the grade tickets there are forms for filling in the analyses of samples of dairy produce for the information of the factory manager. New South Wales is also likely to follow the steps of New Zealand in this respect. Mr Graham, who was formerly manager of the Waikouaiti Dairy Factory, and is now on the Agricultural Department’s staff in that State, was called upon recently to giro evidence on the subject before a Parliamentary committee.
