Mr C. K. - Stevens, of the Land Transfer Department in Wellington, lias resigned from the Government service to enter the office of Messrs Young and Tripe, solicitors. To show their appreciation of Mr Stevens’s courtesy while an officer of the department, the members of the legal profession, through Mr E. Balcombe Brown, presented him with a purse of sovereign® and a case of pipes.
