AN APPEAL FOR LOYALTY.
EMPEROR WILLIAM AND THE POLES. THE VATICAN AND GERMAN CATHOLICS. BERLIN, August 11. The Kaiser, in an address in connection with the army manoeuvres at Gig sen, appealed to Poles to exhibit loyalty and appreciation of good government. His Majesty added that at his last interview with Leo XIII., his Holiness clasped both his hands and blessed him, though a P'rotestant, promising that all German Catholics would he faithful subjects of their Eimperor.
