BULLS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

On AVednesday afternoon last a very pretty wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. AicCully, of Turalcina. The contracting parties were Mr Charles Flower, eldest son of Mr Thomas Flower, and Miss E. Wilkins, daughter of Airs Hammond Mr C. Wilkins acted as best man, and the bride was given away by her brother, Mr o . Wilkins. Miss Smallwood acted as bridesmaid. The bride looked very pretty in a travelling dress of grey relieved with white. A large number were present to witness the ceremony. Aliss Doull played the Wedding March as the bride and bridegroom left the church. Mr and Mrs Flower left by the evening train for Napier on their honeymoon tour. In the evening Air and Airs T. Flower, parents of the bridegroom, entertained a large number of young people. A very enjoyable evening was spent Mr T. McGregor proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, and best wishes were expressed for their future happiness.

Mr J. Campion, late manager for Air McEldowney, has commenced business for himself. He has established a general store in drapery and groceries. The weather has been quite wintry, cold winds, heavy rain, and hard frost succeeding one another. I regret to record the death of Air F. Hammond, who. has been suffering for some time past. The sad event took place on Thursday morning. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved wife and family. The late Mr Hammond was a prominent farmer, ivell known and much respected throughout the district.
