OTHER PUBLICATIONS.

“Life” for December is an exceptionally interesting number. Amongst the special features are Mr Fitehetts “Story of a Lucky Book,” “Deeds that won the Empire,” “On the Bridge of a Great Mail Boat,” by Captain Symons, of the Omrah; “How a Presidential Election is Reported,” by Hartley Davis.

“The First Report of tjpe Welcome Research Laboratories at the Gordon Memorial College, Khartoum” is to hand. It. is edited by the Director, Andrew Balfour, M.D., Sanitary Adviser to the Sudan Civil Medical Department. The frontispiece' is a fine view of the Gordon Memorial College, of which his Majesty King Edward is patron and the Right Hon. Lord Kitchener president. The book should be of much value to all interested in research work.

“Sunday at Home” for 1903-4, published under the auspices of the Religious Tract Society, is beautifully bound and illustrated. It is a first-class publication to place in the hands of the young. The reading matter is very carefully selected and of an educative as well as intei-esting description. The coloured plates which this volume contains are excellent specimens of the printer’s art.
