A somewhat serious accident has befallen Mr D. J. O’Oallaghan, Chief Bill Clerk of the House of Representatives. Do aviis standing on a chair in his office a t the House, reaching for some books, when tho chair collapsed, and Mr O’ Callaghan fell heavily on the back of it breaking two of his ribs. The accident will incapacitate him from attending to his duties for some weeks. Mr p~j Fennell is acting as Bill Clerk during Mr O’Oallaghan’s absence. The death is announced of Mr Clarke Lucas, a very well-known resident of Feilding.
