MR J. C. WILLIAMSON’S DRAMATIC COMPANY

“THE ADMIRABLE CRICHTON.”

This famojas organisation will commence a fifteen nights 5 season at the Wellington Opera House to-morrow eyening, the 4th inst. The first production will be Mr J. M. Barrie's fantasy in four acts, entitled “The Admirable Crichton. 55 Mi- Cuyler Hastings plays the part of Mr Crichton. On this page are some excellent pictures of scenes and characters in the play. The first picture shows Mr Cuyler Hastings as The Guv. and Miss May Chevalier as Polly Lasenby. In the second picture Mr Edmund Gwenn is seen as the Ear] of Loam, Air Hamilton Stewart as the Hon. Ernest Woolley, and Miss May Chevalier as Polly Lasenby. The third is an excellent picture of the drawingroom scene in the fourth act, while the remaining two show Miss Florence Oleeson as Tweeny, and Miss May Chevalier as Polly Lasenby, and Miss Olga Beat'ty-Kingston and Mr F. Lumsden Hare in the characters of Lady Mary Lasenby and the Rev. John Treherne respectively. With the exception of the central picture, showing the Earl of Loam’s drawingroom, the other photos depict the characters as they appear shipwrecked on an unknown island in the South Seas. Judging by the booking, a successful season is a certainty for this talented company.
