MR STOCKLEY JONES ESTABLISHMENT, WILLIS STREET

Mr Stoekley Jones’ Manchester House at 30, Willis street, Wellington, is worthy of a visit. Until lately it was the well-known house of “Snowden’s,” who carried on the business in the Manchester line for over thirteen years, or until its present proprietor, Mr Stockley Jones, took over the establishment, which he is conducting on similar popular lines to those of his predecessor, and if you Chance in there you will not fail to note the wealth in lace curtains,

sheetings, calicoes, and a large and varied assortment of goods all belonging to the Manchester department of the trade, all of which are being purchased by our old fellow townsman, Mr Snowden, in the best London bouses. Mr Jones, who has had many years experience in the best houses of the city of Wellington, viz., four years at the D.1.C., five at Scoular and Chisholm, and a considerable term at the establishment of Messrs Kirkcaldie and Stains, is also introducing new lines to nis own establishment in the shape of dress goods, Morley’s hosiery for men and women. He has also, like all other up-to-date establishments, arranged to send post free on application, patterns and samples. A picture of Mr Stoekley Jones’ (better known as “Snowden’s) appears elsewhere.
