THE D.I.C. DANCE.
(From a Correspondent.) On Friday evening last the employees of the D.i.C. gave a most enjoyable dance in the Druid’s Hall, which was very prettily decorated. About one .hundred and forty guests were present. Much praise is due to the committee, with Messrs Henderson aad Garde as joint secretaries The very best of music foil dancing was supplied by Mi' Fleming and his band, which was appreciated by, all. An excellent supper was provided by Mr Scott. Some handsome dresses were worn Miss Simeon looked charming in white satin, trimmed with silver spangles. iviiss Zutty, blue silk. Mrs Harbroe and Miss Harbroe, the former in biaeis brocaded satin and the fatter in btacK. net over satin, were uracil admired. Miss Jonnson. white silk. Miss JSuaar looked very becoming in cream satin. Miss G. Harbroe, white spotted muslin. Miss Morgan looked very pretty in cream silkMiss Better, in white muslin. Miss Gugles wore a soft blue silk, trimmed with cream insertion. Miss Renner had a white spotted muslin, trimed with bebe ribbon. Miss Arnott was much admired in blue silk, trimmed with cream Maltese laoe. Miss Hawthorne, black chiffon blouse, with a very pretty collarette. Miss Darnell, white muslin. Miss Simpson wore a very handsome cream satin gown. Miss G. Peters, in heliotrope velvet. Miss Watson, black net. over satin. Mrs Macdonald looked well in a rich black brocaded satin, with pink roses. Miss Taylor, white silk. Mrs Thomas wore a pink gown. Miss Stevens wore a rich cream satin dress. Miss J. Willmott, cream silk. Miss Barron’s becoming gown was cream figured satin, relieved with green. Miss McGregor, white muslin.^ Miss Robertson, black brocaded silk and red roses. Miss Ross wore a, very pretty dress of cream figured satin. Miss Corrigan bad a black silk, with pink roses. /^ Donovan wore a salmon gown. Miss White, in cream. Mi-ss Geogohan had a very pretty pink silk dress. Miss Bruce in cream silk. Miss Swain had a black voile skirt and a very pretty pink silk blouse. Mrs Kerr wore red silk. Amongst the gentlemen present were Messrs King, Levestam, Henderson, Clarke, Terry, Waller, Orombie, Churchwood.
