( From Our Own Correspondent.) The township was the centre of much excitement on Wednesday morning, when it was ascertained that the Post Office store had been burglariously entered 1 , and a quantity of clothing, boots, tobacco, and other articles abstracted. Further the marauder had taken* Mr Wolstenholmes’s horse and gig wherewith to carry away the plunder, and exit the telegraph wires between Onga Onga and Waipawa.. The safe was not burgled, though it contained a considerable sum of money. This morning, at Napier, the police arrested Edward Randall, with various aliases, on a charge of being conr corned in breaking and 1 entering the Onga Onga Post Office and store and stealing goods to the value of £SO. He was brought before the S.M. and re* inanded.
