Speaking at the last meeting of the Otago Institute, Mr Augustus Hamilton warmly supported the establishment of a Maori Museum at Wellington for the collection and preservation of Maori antiquities and records and everything connected with the Polynesian raoe. The museum, if wisely managed, would not injure' any of those already existing. Mr Hamilton thinks there is a great danger at present, with the increasing tourist facilities, of the country being denuded of Maori rel’ca.
