Monday.
Hans Thomsen, the boy who was taken to Master ton Hospital on the 3rd inst. with a shattered arm (the result of a shooting accident), died yesterday. The arm way amputated last .Monday. The big “shoot” of the W&irarapa Gun Club, which takes place on June 3rd, promises to bo a success. At a meeting on Saturday it Avas stated that there were 250 birds available here. Last year much trouble ivas caused by “poachers” running after Avounded birds, and this time a committee has been appointed for the express purpose of repressing the nuisance. The newly-formed Ping-pong and Social Club promises to be a big: success. Hitherto there has been nowhere where young fellows' could havo an e\ rening’s enjoyment, and this should fill the undoubted A\*ant. A goo-d number of members has already been secured, and there av i 11 be a big muster at the opening night on Thursday.
