Tho following have been selected to represent New Zealand in.tlie second test match against Lord Hawke’s team, commencing at Wellington on Wednesday :—Fisher (Otago), Reese, Callaway (Canterbury), Richardson, Mahony, Upham, Williams Tucker (Wellington), McCarthy (Taranaki), Lusk (Hawke’s Bay), Hay (Auckland). Boxsliall lias injured his hand, and Downes and Frankish are unable to play, hence their exclusion from 'the team.

VICTORIA v. SOUTH AUSTRALIA.

ADELAIDE, March 2/

The inter-State cricket match Victoria v. South Australia was continued to-day. On Saturday the visiters in their first innings scored 291, and when stumps were drawn the South Australians had lost four wickets for 216.

Continuing, the . home team made 278 in their first innings—Claxton 7, Giffen 81. Saunders took five wickets for 89 and Armstrong two for 55. In their second innings the Victorians have lost five wickets for 191—Graham 45, Armstrong 65, Laver not out 40, Bean not 5.

On the Basin Reserve on Monday the junior match between Midland and Phoenix was concluded, the Midland eleven being victorious.
