SATURDAY’S SENIOR GAMES.

The senior championship game betAveen Wellington and Midland was played on the Basin Reserve on Saturday. By the rules governing the contest, Wellington had choice of order in this innings, and inasmuch as both. Mahony and Richardson were absent, they sent Midland to the Avickets. College-Old Boys—Old Boys batted first and compiled 155, the top scorers feeing Smythe (43). Goldfinch (23), Darroch (not out 40), Odlin (22)- McDougall (3 for 24), Firth (4 for 54), Monaghan (2 for 39) and ITales (1 for 14) shared the wickets for College, who have lost six wickets for 63 Beard 13, Male 11. Smythe (3 for 20), and Macintosh (1 for 3) bowied well for Old Boys. Wellington had first innings against Midland, and compiled 77 —Buckie (rot out) 16, L. Ashholt 11. E. Ryan, Cunningham and Midlane div.u ed the bowling honours for Phoenix B College B defeated Midland A by five wickets. The first innings of the Collegians produced 233 (Jordan 93. Renner 63, Gifford 31, Bee 16, Goodhehere 10). The Midlanders scored 113 vjSpea.ce 29, Coster 23, Wells 15, Carthy 12) in their second attempt. College B obtain ed 35 (Hartcn 11) for the loss of five Avickets. Jordan (5 for 45), Renner (2 for IS) and Bee (2 for 32) Avere the best of the College B trundlers, and for Midland A, Dixon (5 for 36) and Godber (3 for 24) boAvled Avell. Vivian defeated Midland B by an innings and 142 runs. The losers scored 35 and 49 (Clinkard 18 not HowiBon 10). j". Pudney boAvled AA 7 ell for Vivian.

The Newtown-Rover heat is unfinished.
