Mr J. E. Davenport, of Christchurch, imported by the Ituapehu eighty pedigree sheep and two bulls, selected by himself in the Old Country. The hulls are the shorthorn Sir Oswald and a yearling Highland animal. The sheep, which are all shearlings, include thirtyeight Shropshires, thirty-three Southdowns, six Hyeland and three English Leieesters The sheep are from th© best flocks in England, and have taken many prizes in the ring. Mr Davenport sold a few of them in Hobart,
