LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING
- DUNEDIN, September 15. . The Ladies’ Golf Championship meeting opened to-day. Only one round was played in the championship and that only included one game. Result—Miss Holt scratched to Mrs Bidwill; Miss K. Rattray beat Hiss Hewlings, 3 up and 1 to play. All the others had byes. The second round play to-morrow will hp as follows:—Miss K. Rattray v. Mrs Pearce, Mrs Bidwill v. Miss Laiiig-Mea-son, Mrs Buckley v. Mifes Cowliskaw, Miss Begg v. Miss lievell, Mrs YVilder v. Miss W. bcott. Miss Read v. Mrs Turnbull, Mrs Fergus v. Mrs Collins, Mrs Ogston v. Miss Campbell.

The Masterton Golf Club Championship was won by Mr Carne Bidwill, who defeated Mr V. Donald, the runnor-up,-by eight holes and six to play, 27 holes being played. Mr C. C. Cox played a very good game and close finish in his round with Mr Bidwill, being defeated by only ono hole.
