LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING

- DUNEDIN, September 15. . The Ladies’ Golf Championship meeting opened to-day. Only one round was played in the championship and that only included one game. Result—Miss Holt scratched to Mrs Bidwill; Miss K. Rattray beat Hiss Hewlings, 3 up and 1 to play. All the others had byes. The second round play to-morrow will hp as follows:—Miss K. Rattray v. The Masterton Golf Club Championship was won by Mr Carne Bidwill, who defeated Mr V. Donald, the runnor-up,-by eight holes and six to play, 27 holes being played. Mr C. C. Cox played a very good game and close finish in his round with Mr Bidwill, being defeated by only ono hole.
