HOCKEY

Special to the “ Times.” WANGANUI, September 1. At a meeting of tlie Wanganui Hockey Association to - night a letter from the secretary of the Canterbury Association was read stating that that association was prepared to submit the formation of a New Zealand Association to a conference of delegates, when the whole question could be discussed, and that in the meanwhile the association would hold in trust its registration for all associations. It was decided that the secretary should write to the Canterbury Association expressing pleasure at tlie decision that that association had now arrived at. and that the Wanganui Association would appoint a delegate to attend a meeting at Wellington. The association considers it would be a graceful act on ihe part of the Canterbury Association to cancel tlie registration and leave it to the conference to commence proceedings de novo.

Aorangi Club (Wellington) heat Wanganui College by 2 goals to 1.
