GROWING OLD
Lying becalmed by the tide of age, They hear from the misty, hidden
shore
The voice of the children gone before, Drawing their souls to the anchorage— Old, we are growing old ! Going up where the sunshine is clear, Watching grander horizons appear, Standing firm on the mountain of truth, Out of clouds that enveloped our youth, Because heaven is in us to bud and unfold, We are the younger for growing old.
